Address: Waupun Memorial Hospital Note: Obituary: Obituary: Published in the Fond du Lac Reporter on Oct. 16, 2008 Minnie Frey, 96, of Mayville, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 14, 2008, at Waupun Memorial Hospital. Minnie was born Oct. 25, 1911, in Waupun, the daughter of John J. and Johannah Van Loenen Van Buren. On Sept. 27, 1934, she married Elmer Frey in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Waupun and Beaver Dam areas for several years. Minnie was also employed by Green Giant Canning Co. in Beaver Dam. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mayville and the Mayville Senior Center. Minnie is survived by a son, Marvin and his wife, Elda Frey of Mayville; three grandchildren, Michael Frey, Susan (Mike) Feller and Darlene (Kevin) Kurtz; two great-grandchildren, Ally and Mitchell; a brother, John W. Van Buren of Waupun; a sister, Mildred (Melvin) Holbach of Waupun; a sister-in-law, Josephine Van Buren of Waupun; several nieces; and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1984; a sister, Jennie Van Buren; and two brothers, Earl Van Buren and Elmer Van Buren. |
