Death | June 1976 (aged 81 years) Obituary The Leader News-July 7, 1976; Herman Peters, 81, of 426 Jackson St., Waupun, died Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, where he resided for the past five years. He was bom Nov. 18,1894, in the Town of Alto, the son of Alien and Edith Harmsen Peters. He and Bernice Vander Bosch were married in Altoin 1917. The couple framed in the Waupun-Alto area until his retirnfent in 1964. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by his wife in December of 1963. He was He was a member of the Alto Reformed Church. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Roy (Hazel) Meenk, Waupun one (brother, Allen Peters Waupun; three sisters, Mrs. George Westerveld, Alto, Mrs. John Hagens Brandon and Miss Edith Peters, Waupun, three grandchildren: and great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Bouwkamp officiated. Interment was in the Alto Cemetery, Alto. |
