Death | 2017 (aged 72 years) Obituary: Sherlee A. Feyen, age 72, of Oshkosh, passed away at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born in Fond du Lac on November 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Adelmeyer) Schmidbauer. Sherlee grew up in LeRoy, WI, attended Mayville High School, and received her Registered Nurse degree from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1965. On June 26, 1965 Sherlee married Peter Feyen, her devoted husband of 51 years. Sherlee worked as a surgical RN for 44 years at Mercy Medical Center. Her dedication to Mercy continued into retirement, when she volunteered in the gift shop & with the projects group. Sherlee's specialty was crocheting baby booties for the gift shop. Sherlee enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and numerous other crafts. She was generous with her time and talents, creating costumes for ballet recitals, plays & other special programs. She was Campfire Girls group leader for her younger daughter. Sherlees's greatest joy was spoiling her grandson rotten. Sherlee is survived by her husband, Peter; daughters, Rebecca (partner, Kip Klawitter) Feyen and Amy (Joe) Blanchard; grandson, Joseph (special friend, Kathleen Shumsky) Blanchard; and her beloved kitties, Graham and Aladin. She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Myra (Lehman) Feyen; and brothers-in-law, Paul Feyen, Jr. and Charles Pionke. |
