Robert E. Miller (Bob), 73, resident of Sioux Falls, passed away on September 13, 2016 at Avera Heart Hospital. Bob was a retired employee of Sam's Club.

Robert was born in Flandreau, SD on April 3, 1943. Son of Clifford and Phyllis Miller. Married to Sylvia Miller (Bisson), June 11, 1965. Bob and Sylvia had 2 children: Troy Miller (deceased), Sue Paulson (Kirk). Grandchildren include: Kaleb & Alexandra Helvin, Hanna & Bennett Paulson. Great Grandchildren: Darin & Nevan Helvin. Siblings: Corrine Ehlers, Larry Miller, Carolyn Story, James Miller.

Sylvia Kay Miller, 70, resident of Sioux Falls passed away on February 24, 2018 at Dougherty Hospice.

Sylvia's memorial service will take place at 1:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. A time of fellowship will follow the service with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Sylvia was born in Pipestone, MN on December 22, 1947. She was the daughter of Sylvester and Ruth (Damm) Bisson. The family later moved to Flandreau, SD where she lived on a farm with her sisters and brother.

As a teenager she met the love of her life, Robert ‘Bob’ Miller on a double date and they soon married on June 11, 1965. They were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2015 with family and friends by their side. Together the couple had two children; Troy and Sue.

Sylvia and Bob moved to Las Vegas as young adults and spent many years there before moving back to South Dakota. Sylvia loved to do anything crafty including; repurposing furniture, sewing and making new decorations for her and her families homes. Her and Bob would often make things together, with Bob doing the woodworking and Sylvia doing the painting and decorating of things like seasonal items, yard décor and other various home décor. She also enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors. One of her favorite past times was going to thrift stores and garage sales and seeing what new treasures she could find, often repurposing them to make them her own.

Sylvia was blessed with grandchildren from her daughter Sue and spent the rest of her years enjoying time with them, she loved each special moment they shared together. Sylvia loved a clean house and that translated into her lifelong career of being a housekeeper. Sylvia was a long-time employee at Good Samaritan Luther Manor until her retirement. After retirement Sylvia and Bob enjoyed several trips in their motor home including a month-long trip to Oregon and surrounding states where they made some of their favorite memories. Sylvia also treasured her dog, Cuddles, who became her reliable companion through many tough times and also kept her feet warm snuggling while watching TV together.

Sylvia will be remembered for her love for her family, her caregiving nature and fun-loving personality that was enjoyed by so many. She was a selfless go-getter who knew what she wanted and worked hard for the things in her life. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.Sylvia was thankful to have shared her life with her daughter; Sue Paulson (Kirk), grandchildren; Kaleb and Alexandra Helvin, Hanna and Bennett Paulson, great-grandchildren; Darin and Nevan Helvin, siblings; Shirley Feldhacker, Beverly Kiefer and many beloved extended family member and friends.

Proceeded in death by her husband; Robert Miller, son; Troy Miller, parents; Sylvester and Ruth Bisson, and siblings; Elaine and Lanny Bisson and beloved family pets; Ginger and Jackie.
