Mr Grant was born in Argyle, MA in 1851. He came to this city about 30 years ago. He was an industrious kind, honest man, a most genial companion, and a loving husband and father. For a year or more he suffered from heat disease and that caused his death.

Surviving him are his widow, the son Forest and the daughters, Cora and Lillian Grant. Two sisters Mrs. William Freer and Mrs. John Dahl, live in MA.
